Keeping Up With Bridal Fashion

Sunday, April 5th, 2009

As soon as we set our wedding date, I got busy with my planning and shopping for everything I needed. Since I love to shop online, I decided that was as good a place to start as any. I’m glad I did too, with all they had to offer there was no problem finding everything I needed to plan the perfect wedding and reception. There was everything for our wedding and reception, from invitations to party favors for our wedding guests.

We had no problem choosing the theme we wanted for our wedding and reception, it had to be a beach theme. The beach has been a special place for us and our friends ever since we were kids.

So the first thing I did was to order the beach themed wedding invitations and get them in the mail as soon as possible. All the guests we invited said they would be there and that they can hardly wait to watch us walk down the aisle. My bridal accessories were the next thing on my wedding list that I would need. Even though I shop online all the time, I never expected to find such a big selection of wedding accessories. I saw a gorgeous tiara and hair comb in the selection, and I just had to have them. I also found wedding jewelry that I really wanted to wear for my ceremony. I looked at all the jewelry and found the necklace and earring set I wanted to wear with my wedding dress. It had little pearls and crystals entertwined and gave such a luxurious sparkle to my ensemble.

There was so much in the way of bridal fashion that was absolutely exquisite and the best part was, it wasn’t all that expensive. I also bought a few items I can use while on our honeymoon. I know that a short thin materialed dress would have been more appropriate for a beach ceremony, but I had my heart set on my full length gown. My bridesmaids and flower girl wore knee length satin dresses with spaghetti straps to help keep them cool and comfortable. They were all so elegant, they could have been on the cover of a bridal magazine.

There were torches around the reception area and the dance floor was lit up with little white lights we had strung around. I had sailboat place card holders and placed seashells and starfish all around the tables. As wedding favors I wanted to give them something special from the seaside collection, so I chose the beach themed photo frames for each of them. I think the picture frames I chose were to their liking.

There were tealights and candles to light up our beautifully set bridal table and lovley beach themed flutes for the wedding toast. Our wedding cake topper was especially designed for a beach wedding just as all our other accessories for our reception. A man and woman taking a casual walk on the shore was the wedding cake topper I chose for our reception. Thanks to all the supplies and bridal accessories I had to choose from, our wedding and reception was everything I had hoped it would be. There was so much seafood, such as lobsters, crabs and shrimp and we also had plenty of chicken and steaks for the non seafood eaters. Everyone danced, ate and just had a fantastic time. If it wasn’t for going on our honeymoon, I never would have left our terrific beach party.

The first thing I had to do when we came home from our honeymoon was get out my wedding guest book I bought online and make out all the thank you notes for the people that shared our wedding day with us. My beach themed picture album has all the memories within its beautiful covers for me to enjoy anytime I want to look back on our special beach wedding and reception.

Ring Bearer Pillow Wedding

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

Online shopping for our reception accessories, flower baskets, and ring bearer pillows was my mom’s idea. She said it beats running from store to store and all there is to do is check them out, order the ones I like and wait for delivery. They even had the type of invitations I was looking for, and a lot of discounted items to choose from too. Our invitations weren’t the only thing I saved money on, I also saved on other accessories too. I saved on items like wedding tiaras for my bridesmaids, flower girl, and also bought my bridal tiara, flower girl basket, flower petals and checked out some great ring bearer pillow wedding suggestions. I was amazed at all the different styles of ring pillows.

They had a fantastic selection of centerpieces and champagne flutes for the bride and groom and guests. There were elegant choices of candles and glassware to enhance my tables. If you need favors for themed weddings or destination weddings, they have that too. Some for a beach wedding, winter wedding, garden wedding and more, with beautiful and decorative favor boxes to choose from too. There were great little novelty favors too, like Vegas wedding gifts for friends and family, keychains, photo frames and more with a Las Vegas theme to them.

I chose the gorgeous crystal paperweights as the thank you gifts for our friends and families. They were almost to lovely to put into their favors boxes, but the packaging only added to the tables elegant appearance. Out of everything I bought, I loved my cake topper the most. Our cake topper was so beautiful it almost out shined our wedding cake. The beautiful satin bow and butterfly just made our cake even more beautiful.

I got so many compliments on my décor and wedding favor gifts. Some of the guests came up and thanked me for their gifts and told me how beautiful they were. What I really liked about this place I shopped was the fact they have more than just cake toppers and wedding ring bearer pillows. There were all kinds of supplies and great ideas for birthdays, wedding showers, baby showers, and girls night out parties too. Ijust found out that this is where my sister got everything she needed for my wedding shower. It was all courtesy of mom’s suggestion.

In about three and a half weeks I’m giving my sister a baby shower and I already know where I’m getting the decorations, favors and other party supplies from. I’ve already been checking out some of the party favors, but I’m waiting until next week to order them. That’s when she finds out if she is having a girl or boy. I could go ahead and order everything in a non-gender color, but I’d really prefer to have a pink décor or a blue décor, with maybe an it’s a girl or it’s a boy banner.

I want to thank my mom for pointing me towards this easy way to shop, it saved me a lot of time and money. Filling out our thank you cards and working out all the reception arrangements was another thing I’m grateful for my mom doing for me. Thanks for all of your wonderful suggestions and all of your help, mom. Maybe I can use this online shopping thing for our future anniversary parties. They had some very nice ideas for anniversaries, like decorations, cake toppers and even favor gifts for guests. There were some very excellent selections for mom and dad’s 30th anniversary. I think I’ll get a hold of my sister so we can check out the possibilities together. Their 30th isn’t that far away, no use waiting until the last minute.
