Planning a wedding and reception can be a very hectic and exciting time, filled with so many options on what to choose for themes, decorations, etc. My daughter and I were planning her wedding day together and the hardest part of the whole thing was getting her to make up her mind. She had to select the kind of wedding she wanted to begin with, either one with a specific type of motif, or to go with a more standard type of ceremony. We looked through all the themed wedding possibilities and she just couldn’t decide. For her one special day, she thought about building the wedding around a lakeshore setting, and then she considered a wedding in an outdoor garden setting. After all the debating, she ended up with the traditional. When she eventually made that decision, it allowed us to get the preparations underway.
We shipped out the invitations, and we signed up to reserve the church for the ceremony and a reception hall for the reception dinner. The wardrobe for both the bride and the wedding party had been picked out already, so we were able to zero in on things that we’d need in order to put on the reception. We had to pick out a wedding guest book and a photo album and a few other items that we’d need. A lot of the many wedding guest books we found had gorgeous art work on them. We had our pick out wonderful wedding pens that went with the guest books, too. We weren’t quite done picking things out yet and my daughter saw this wedding set with a white satin cover and bow, with rhinestones, that had six pieces. Together with a beautiful wedding garter and unity candle were an adorable flower basket and ring pillow. This incredible satin set also included a wedding guest book and pen that also matched perfectly. The price was so reasonable and the selection of wonderful choices was so wide that we were stunned. We also found the perfect wedding album with a place for special keepsakes and scrap-booking pages as well. The wedding album was ideal.
Finally we were down to the cake topper, place card holders and wedding favors. Everything else was taken care of. A couple of doves formed out of glazed porcelain were what my daughter selected to put at the top of her wedding cake. Those doves will make an outstanding piece for her to treasure forever. My girl picked out small, shiny silver picture frames to use as place card holders at the reception dinner. The people at the reception would be able to use the frames once the dinner was over, and my daughter thought that was a something they’d like. She did alright picking out her wedding accessories and reception supplies. She’s excited about having some extra money for the honeymoon since she found such good bargains on most of the things she bought for the wedding.
The look and experience of our wedding day was a smashing success with our guests. When the bride and groom did their first dance, it was a stunningly beautiful moment. We all did a lot of dancing that night, and I swear my feet still hurt, but it was all worth it, it was a wonderful event that I will remember forever. My own baby, now married, may have a baby of her own some day. Well, when that day comes, I know exactly where I’ll go to get the supplies and shower favors for the baby shower I’ll throw.
