Planning a wedding and reception can be a very hectic and exciting time, filled with so many options on what to choose for themes, decorations, etc. My daughter and I were planning her wedding day together and the hardest part of the whole thing was getting her to make up her mind. The initial decision was just the overall genre of the wedding: something old-fashioned, or a trendier style of ceremony. She studied every possible variety that we could think of, and she just ended up getting more and more confused. Some of the options she kicked around were doing a gardening theme or a sand and surf theme. Having a standard wedding ceremony and reception was what my daughter decided, at last, would be the best option for her. Once she made up her mind at last, we got to work putting together the wedding.
The church was reserved, and so was the reception hall, and all of the invitations had been sent out. The wardrobe for both the bride and the wedding party had been picked out already, so we were able to zero in on things that we’d need in order to put on the reception. In addition to finding a wedding guest book and a picture album, there were some other things that we had to pick out yet. There was no shortage of wedding guest books to pick from, and the decorations on a big percentage of them were absolutely beautiful. There were many gorgeous wedding pens to choose from too, that matched with many of the guestbooks. We weren’t quite done picking things out yet and my daughter saw this wedding set with a white satin cover and bow, with rhinestones, that had six pieces. There was a lovely unity candle, ring pillow, flower basket and wedding garter. A
wedding guest book and pen came with it. It was astonishing to us to see that many charming accessories and supplies for so low a cost. The picture album we picked out for the special day was really cute; it had all kinds of neat pages for small souvenirs and art. Talk about a wonderful picture book to cherish your memories with.
The last things to take care of was place card holders, a wedding cake topper, and gifts for the guests. That was all we had left to pick out. A couple of doves formed out of glazed porcelain were what my daughter selected to put at the top of her wedding cake. Those doves will make an outstanding piece for her to treasure forever. Every guest got a place card holder at the reception that was silver and in the shape of a picture frame. She said she liked those best because after the reception the guests could take them home and use them to display their favorite little picture. The products she bought for her special day ended up being very good choices. She’s excited about having some extra money for the honeymoon since she found such good bargains on most of the things she bought for the wedding.
It was a beautiful wedding, and the reception looked fantastic. When the bride and groom did their first dance, it was a stunningly beautiful moment. We all did a lot of dancing that night, and I swear my feet still hurt, but it was all worth it, it was a wonderful event that I will remember forever. With my daughter married, she may have a baby girl at some point in their lives.
