I recently went to a marriage and party for one of the girls I know from work. The wedding event was surprising and the bride couldn’t have been more wonderful. They had events arranged for everyone that wanted to engage in recreation. Fantastic outdoor events. The men got into some horseshoe competitions and the youngsters and a number of the women were playing badminton and volley ball. The new couple had perceived of the whole thing from great cuisine to lots of activity. The children were really having a nice moment on the hayrides. But it began getting late and that they at the end of the day set to leave the rest of the partying to the guests. So, I’ve decided to get on the band wagon and go shopping for a pair of cowboy boots, hat and blue jeans and get ready to celebrate this wedding the country way. Everybody will always remember this wedding. Thanks to my daughters great country themed wedding, she’s given me a great idea for our anniversary.

Planning an outside wedding wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. In fact, it didn’t cost as much as an indoor wedding would have cost us. Since we had the flowers and mother nature everywhere, I didn’t have to spend a lot of money on decorations. I checked out a lot of places to have our summer wedding and reception. I thought about a super beach wedding and reception, or maybe have it in a gorgeous garden, but I decided to have our ceremony and reception in the park. I found several perfect parks that would work fine for our wedding day.

I wasn’t really sure where to start, so I shopped around for some much needed suggestions. I found out you need to have a plan B, in case inclement weather unexpectly arises. So we arranged to have a tent set up to move the ceremony into if necessary, just as a precaution.

Plan “A” was setting up a gorgeous trellis for our ceremony to be performed under and canopies for the reception. I mainly concentrated on the decorations for our wedding table and the reception tables. With the park as our main theme, I basically had to make sure I had our table settings and maybe throw in a few extra bouquets of flowers. I decided to go with artificial flowers because I didn’t want to have our wedding to be the target of a bee swarm. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and didn’t look artificial at all. The wedding was easier than I originally thought it would be, but there were a lot of things to consider. Like, making sure there were citronella candles all around, rest rooms close by and making sure our cake was kept cool until ready to be cut.

As far as table décor, I found so many fantastic accessories for our reception. As centerpieces for our reception tables I used citronella votive candles and place them in glass globes with flowers around them, and used park bench place card holders for each guest. I found very decorative favor boxes and used them to package the chrome bottle openers we bought for our friends and family as a summer wedding theme. The most beautiful part of our wedding table was our cake with it’s gorgeous wedding cake topper.

I found it while browsing online for my other wedding accessories, and fell in love with it. They were especially customized for the bride and groom. After I sent them a head shot of my fiance and myself they made our bride and groom topper to look exactly like us. Talk about the best wedding keepsake you can get. Our friends and family were really loved the cake topper and gave us a lot of compliments on it. Our crystal champagne flutes and silver cake serving set was just a few of the fantastic accessories I ordered for our ceremony and reception. Everything at the wedding and reception were fantastic. The weather cooperated and we never had to go to plan “B” with the tents. We all loved the super DJ and the fantastic job he was doing, and if I’m right, he probably kept the music and dancing going on for quite a while after we left to go on our honeymoon. A lot of good things were said about our wedding ceremony and everyone said they had a fantastic time at the reception. The park turned out to be the perfect place to have our wedding and reception. I’d love to do this again and have a wedding renewal in the park, maybe for an anniversary, someday.

I would love a tropical island wedding. But then I thought about all the people that would be disappointed that they couldn’t be there, and I had to toss that idea in the dumpster.
Then I thought about a winter themed wedding. But since we were getting married in July, that just didn’t seem appropriate. I wanted a wedding fit for a king and queen, and what better way to do that then with a storybook wedding. There were plenty of fairy tale accessories and ideas to work with for the perfect story book wedding. There were even special wedding cakes you could buy that fit in perfectly with the theme. So this was final. We can declare a royal wedding.
I went online and found fairy tale invitations that I could send out. Next I started checking out all the wedding accessories and reception supplies I would need. I picked out floor length dresses for the girls in my wedding party, and found an exquisite gown for myself. All of the groomsmen and the ring boy looked so handsome in their tuxes, but the best looking one of all, was my regal prince. I could feel all eyes on me as I walked down the aisle, and half way expected them to bow to their new queen. Our wedding ceremony was more beautiful than I could have hoped for. The flowers, the candles, and the gorgeous satin bows on the end of the pews really set the whole thing off. Rose petals were falling all around us as we were leaving the church. Outside we climbed into a gorgeous horse drawn carriage to take us to the reception hall.
Our reception was a total success, with all the storybook accessories, it looked like the inside of a castle. I was able to find all the accessories I needed for this special themed wedding and some very lovely wedding favors for our friends and family. I even found the perfect favor boxes to put each themed wedding party favor in for our guests. There were so many accessories to choose from to help with our storybook reception. I decided on little coaches for place card holders and the gorgeous place card holders that looked just like Cinderella coach. I couldn’t have pulled this off without the wonderful accessories they have for fairytale weddings.
Some of our guests commented on the themed décor and told us what a great time they were having. One of our guests stated that she’d never seen such a gorgeous ceremony as ours. I know I was impressed and it was my wedding. I’m so glad that I chose this theme and found so many accessories to help me make it happen. I wanted today to be as special for our guests as it was for me and my new husband. I made sure their wedding gifts were of a storybook theme, just like our wedding cake and other accessories. I wanted our guests to leave with something that would remind them of this special day. A special something to remind them of sharing this very special ceremony with us.

When I walked down the aisle towards my husband to be I really felt like I was royalty. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding ceremony. All of the gorgeous décor only added to the beauty of our ceremony. As we were leaving the church, everyone tossed rose petals and cheered us on. We were driven to the reception in a horse drawn carriage, just like royalty.
